Colorado: Fort Collins, CO Mayor sends a letter to the National Police Association stating that Fort Collins Police Services cooperates with the enforcement of federal immigration law.

Connecticut: Enacted legislation to prohibit compliance with detainers unless certain conditions are met, including conviction of specified crimes.

Illinois: Enacted legislation to prohibit compliance with detainers unless certain conditions are met, including conviction of specified crimes.

Iowa: Republican lawmakers pushed for a crackdown on sanctuary cities by revoking state funding for communities that circumvent federal immigration laws. The legislation says local entities cannot prohibit or discourage local law enforcement officers or other employees from "assisting or cooperating with a federal immigration officer as reasonable or necessary, including providing enforcement assistance."
